Who’s Lyle McDonald?

I first stumbled upon his work at bodyrecomposition.com

Pretty sure I own every book he has published including the Rapid Fat Loss Handbook, Protein Book and the Guide to Flexible Dieting.

He has been interested in all aspects of human performance physiology since becoming involved in competitive sports as a teenager. Pursuing a degree in Physiological Sciences from UCLA, he has spent almost 20 years of his life studying human physiology and the science, art and practice of human performance, muscle gain, fat loss and body recomposition.

Through his books, articles and his forum, he has helped thousands lose fat, gain muscle and get stronger or perform better.

Ever heard of a transition phase?

These are periods of time in which you’re moving between gaining and losing weight, and vice versa. You may recognise these as a Revive Stronger reader as ‘Primer Phases’ as they’re very similar. Lyle McDonald breaks down his approach to transition phases and discusses their importance.
